Acquired Far Cry the other day… It’s only average compared to the hype. Haven’t tried the multiplayer yet, but I’m not expecting much. The new patch should make it nicer, and it has PunkBuster support already which is cool. Still, the SP component doesn’t fell terrificly smooth in the engine, and the aiming feels a bit retarded at times… I guess I should try it out first though… Might need to “acquire” some help to get it working with the 1.1 patch though. Time to check a few more torrents sites out for “ideas” methinks…
Uni is starting to heat up. I can handle two of my three subjects. The third one is just one of those retarded literature-reviewing style subjects, revolved around research problems and crap like that. Unfortunately I need to do it for my project in second semester (that I’ll either do this year or next year… Maybe this year since I’m doing the ?pre-course work now), so I think I just lose outright.
I need to do some more shoutcasts. I’m just so busy these days. It’s good though, I like being busy. I think the last year or so was bad in the fact that I had too much free time. I suppose on the other hand it was a good thing, though… Helped me realise I really do prefer being busier and getting involved in more things. :)
I feel bad about the 21 and LoA guys though… I’m hardly there to help them in ET and RTCW respectively… Well, I’m not there at all to be honest. I would be if I had the time though… Hope they realise. :/
Wonder how 4saken is going… Haven’t really caught up with him in ages. I should hassle him to go to ivLAN, even though I know he wont. From memory he mentioned on the LoA forums that he’s going to be a bookworm this year anyway… I suppose that means he hasn’t updated his crappy (;)) little journal on his Optus webspace… Well, I suppose he HAS at least posted once this year. I give him extra credit points for the cute turtle photos. ^_^ I suppose I should harass him to change the title of the link he has to my page… No more Fortress of Disinterest! Maybe I’ll spend some time this weekend or an afternoon soon finding and printing out all the article so I don’t forget later on… Or finding them in the library if I have to. Hrm. I couldn’t have gotten a form from dad anyway: the bastards wont accept it.
Just spent a few minutes trying to work out why my playlist or mIRC’s MP3 player was only playing a handful of songs, then realised it was in filter mode under “some”… I think Lou must have noobed it or something… Oh well. Not really sure but it doesn’t matter now.
Got David’s 21st tomorrow night. Should be good. Hope dad finally cracks out the cigars I bought him from Abu Dhabi, I want to have a bash at them! Wonder if I’ll hit hte piss hard with David… I think I’m obliged to. ;)

I caught the virus dad has in his eye. Not sure how. My right eye is now half shut (although I can see out of it fine), weeping a bit of goo now and then, and generally looks red and puffy. Juicy.
Lou went down to Melbourne today to see SFK’s last show before they go overseas for a year or so… The SMSs she just sent me indicate she had a blast, and even hung out with Clint the drummer for a while when he was pissed. I’m sure she’ll write a livejournal post about 500 metres long about the experience. hehe.
Lou’s little bro, Andrew, has been getting in to CoD now that I’ve shared my CD-key with him. Little kent should just buy it. He’s doing pretty well for a noob, too! :O Funny hearing him on ventrilo… Hmm.
WineSoc dinner was good, Sheena talked me in to leaving after the dinner, so we took Lou with us in the taxi (as you do :/). I kind of wanted to stay out though, but I liked the idea of having someone to make the trip home with. In the end the taxi (City -> Gordon -> Pennant Hills -> Eastwood) cost $90… I paid $40. >< Damn it. Kind of shitty about how that turned out. Oh well. Stupid Sheena with her work meetings and being scared of Byrne and living near my place but taking a $35 detour for the privilege. Gah!
Work wasn't even too bad tonight, finished around 11:45… Uni was ok too, got two of my course texts. The NETS3007 one was out of stock. Great preparation on the Co-Op's part there. Even Pork turned up in my ISYS3015 lecture… Poor bastard. I wouldn't wish this course on anyone. :/ Oh well.

The ET ladder on GA has started again for its second season. In the CoD ladder, the dispute we had cost up challenging up again, so TEA have challenged us. Hopefully I can get a game on Sunday (because I like having something to look forward to on a Sunday night) but I can’t prac all this week. Hmm. Oh well. Knowing what our turnouts are like, I should be ok. Sifnt play me though, I’m a suspected hacker after all. That’s gotta count for something.
