Consumer.

I bought a man bag. Well it’s more a unisex bag. I think. I don’t know. Crumpler’s bags sure as hell didn’t cut it.

Do you like it?That’s the colour I picked, too. It’s from Manhattan Portage but I bought it from Karmaloop with an online coupon, so I saved about 13% of the overall price, shipping included. Not so bad.

I looked up the Australian Converse site, but the pricks don’t have their products section working until December. Great marketing strategy there. Unfortunately, the US site doesn’t ship internationally, so I guess I’m going to have to check out some more shops in Sydney if I’m ever going to replace these poor red shoes.

I’m not even sure what style to get. Somebody help me decide!

High or low?

I currently own a low-cut pair. I quite like them. I still have a niggling yearning for the old school high cut ones, though. The other problem seems to be that you can’t get them in size 12 anywhere. :(

How can it be this hard?

In non-commercial news: I’ve been subpoenaed! Who would have thunk it? I’m not actually sure if I’m allowed to disclose any details. I haven’t seen the letter yet. Mum just rang me earlier today while I was browsing through a book shop on my way to get Thai for lunch today. I’ll have to check it out after work on Friday.

Uni news: My group made it in to the second round of presentations. Now we just have to impress the folks from Accenture and we’ll win $1000 each! Even though I’m over it I’ll still try for some cash.

Finally, I made some original content for my site in the guise of some horribly written game reviews and I also cleaned up the site a wee bit.

P.S. my highlight for today was buying a bottle of Jim Beam. I might take up alcoholism for a hobby, since I’m quite bored.

Word.

I don’t know if anyone’s noticed, but I deliberately only use 1 word in my subjects for each entry. Only a couple of early entries defy this format. Fascinating.

I’ve been out at a Winesoc dinner and I’ve decided to write something. I think that (like most people) I open up more under the influence of alcohol and speak about more interesting things. Unfortunately there’s also the trade off of being lazier, so it doesn’t guarantee that I’ll actually say anything more in-depth or interesting that the usual boring bullshit I usually post.

So, what can I reveal to all of the 2 or so people that actually take interest in what I write here that is somewhat ground-breaking? Well, let’s see… There’s plenty of things I could say, but they’d probably be incriminating and come back to ruin my life within a few years. Fortunately I’ve always been self-aware enough to know when to hold back, even under the influence of alcohol. ;) Don’t worry, it’s nothing illegal.

I met a gamer tonight, one that I actually know/have played against/remember. That was pretty cool. I told him we should meet up during semester and drink a few beers and the like. He seemed genuinely interested and that’s enough for me. Did you notice I’ve changed tangent? Yes, I open up but still not too much. It’s more fun being a prick tease. Oh yes.

I hope all my effort at typing is paying off. It’s hard to hit the right keys, even with my awe-inspiring touch typing skills. Being a good typist makes me feel like a big man. I remember it always used to impress people whenever they saw me typing on computers at school and elsewhere. It’s like an extended e-penis but without the e… Although, it had something else instead of the e, so it wasn’t just an extended penis. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Geez. I’m starting to get dizzy and tired. I have to be up at like 7:30 am. That’s only 5 hours away. I wanted to bum a cigarette off Chandler tonight, so I could have a cigarette with coffee tomorrow afternoon. I’ve heard quite a few times that those two drugs seem to go well together, even though I can’t imagine it. I forgot to steal a dart though, so it’ll just have to be coffee on its own, unless I burn some paper and inhale the fumes from that. Somehow I don’t think it’ll carry the same effect.

I spent $40 on taxis tonight. Donated a bottle of Wolf Blass wine to my table and spent about $15 on drinks, plus another $10 on food. $65 for a night out, plus the $30 on the dinner. $95. I really shouldn’t have bothered going to North Sydney. That’s where $60 went of my night. What a pisser. I had Oportos. It was typical of Oportos, ie: bland. At least I shared my chips with some Macedonian guy called Bogdan who swore he’d had a foursome with 3 other girls (due to him being a guitarist in a band and having shoulder-length curly hair) in a gay bar. I have to admit, I ‘m jealous. I’ve never picked up in a gay bar (although I’ve come close, believe it or not), let alone scored a mini orgy with 3 other women. It’s almost offensive that a nerdy guy called Bogdan can, I have to admit. He was nice enough, though. I shared my Oportos chips with him, because I’m sweet.

Anyway, I’m falling asleep here in my chair, so I may as well at least doze off in the bed that I slept in until 12pm this afternoon. Good night, freaks.

KMFDM.

Was good. The concert that is. Yay. I bought a t-shirt for $25. Not too bad a price. They even did two encores and stated that the Sydney show tonight was their final show in their world tour of 2004, which was nice. Unfortunately the t-shirt van coming in from Perth wrote itself off after it ran in to a kangaroo on the freeway or something, delaying the delivery of the KMFDM merch.

Anyway, I’m glad I went and thought it was fun.

CLGA was also fun. Especially without a PC. I don’t think I’ll even take a PC to a LAN again (or LARN if orphic  is hosting it). The social side always shines through with the people I hang around with anyway – no one bothers playing games except their competition rounds. Not bringing anything saves so much time, trouble, stress and money as it’s usually free or a lot cheaper to just be a spectator and not a competitor. Of course you can’t win any prizes that way, but meh.

Fuck I’m tired.

I just found out I’m not eligible to do the ISYS project I was planning to do with Pork next semester. I’m missing a prerequisite I forgot about, as I was intending to do the project next year anyway. Hopefully I can organise a meeting with the Dean of the science faculty and be allowed to continue it this year, as I intend to do the prereq next year anyway, and I got halfway through it last year before I deferred and got a discontinued fail for it (BY SIX FUCKING DAYS). :/

Liberal
Where do you fall on the liberal – conservative political spectrum? (United States)

Uvula piercings suck.

^ yes.

Vortex is cool. Woot.

Had another Sydney RTCW/ET meet last night, cept no ET people turned up. Good stuff.

I’m still waiting for 4saken to update his journal, lazy bastard.

I did the shopping today, $80 for quality groceries, I rock.

Keep on up!

Damn Cam has made me feel guilty now that he has his own journal… Of course it’s not as pro as mine. :D

Hmm let’s see, what’s happened of late.

Friday night saw Kirsty’s 21st, was an 80s theme… I couldn’t find any damn 80s style clothes (I was going to go Richard Simmons style with the funky exercise attire) but I scored 2 shitty singlets from a Chinese junk shop… Yay? At least the CDs I made were good… It’s always nice having 20 gigs of mp3s to pick the best 80s party songs from.

On Saturday I trekked up to Newcastle with Ian (SyntaxTerror) for ex (or inactive as he says) dotmaen Jonny-Hero’s (delerium) 21st… Caught up with Scotty (tofu) as well, then went out and partied on the town… Christ I even cut up the dance floor a little. Look out world, I’m out and about and I’m GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVY!

Or not. Hrm…

haha
Some gay dude tried to buy Jonny a drink. ^_^

Bummed around in Newcastle on Sunday arvo with them, cept Scott cuz he was playing There most likely… :o There’s some funky Sydney inner-westesque places in that town. Jolly good.

Ross’ mum is staying with us again, they’re both off to Shanghai or something tomorrow. House to myself! Woot! I’m gonna be so hungry. :/

1500/256 ADSL came in on the 20th. Bonar. So sweet getting near-cable download speeds again. :D

Anyway that’s enough blabbing for the meantime.

Geek nation!

Why not take The Geek Test and see how you go?

I scored “33.72781% – Total Geek”… Oh great feelings!

If you think that’s good, guess who got “42.80355% – Major Geek”? I wont tell, I’ll just say it’s some old man. ^_^

Ringo is in Sydney tonight… I’m gonna take him to Paddy’s and show him how r0x0r Sydney meets are… Dunno how many will show though with the short notice and all. Maybe they’ll just hide because he’s from Melbourne, I dunno. :o

On a more serious note… Elwin died this morning. :( Not exactly sure what happened yet, I think he got an illness or something and his body couldn’t fight it off or something. Haven’t been able to get on the phone to mum or dad yet (gg both having their mobiles turned off >_<) but I'll keep trying… He didn't seem too poorly at his 21st the other night. I guess things just happen.

Bugger.
