KMFDM.

Was good. The concert that is. Yay. I bought a t-shirt for $25. Not too bad a price. They even did two encores and stated that the Sydney show tonight was their final show in their world tour of 2004, which was nice. Unfortunately the t-shirt van coming in from Perth wrote itself off after it ran in to a kangaroo on the freeway or something, delaying the delivery of the KMFDM merch.

Anyway, I’m glad I went and thought it was fun.

CLGA was also fun. Especially without a PC. I don’t think I’ll even take a PC to a LAN again (or LARN if orphic  is hosting it). The social side always shines through with the people I hang around with anyway – no one bothers playing games except their competition rounds. Not bringing anything saves so much time, trouble, stress and money as it’s usually free or a lot cheaper to just be a spectator and not a competitor. Of course you can’t win any prizes that way, but meh.

Fuck I’m tired.

-_-

FINALLY.

Finished my ISYS3000 assignment.

2500 words later (I think it’s a little over, it’s meant to be 2000, but that’s including the headings and references too).

Thank CHRIST.

No more assignments for the year! Wheeee!

Nothing for 3 weeks, when I have my exams! Wheeee!

Got Lou to book a holiday house in Noosa for Lloyd, Eri, Lou and I earlier this afternoon. The silly boffins couldn’t decide on a place, after throwing about 500 links around for the last few days. Of course, with my masculine hunter-style mind I managed to peruse the thumbnails of available locations near Hastings street and we ended up booking the first one that I picked. ;)

$275 each for 7 nights. Less than 1km to Hastings street and it’s got its own private pool and beach, along with nearby restaurants and a bus stop. It’s also decked out with facilities such as TV & DVD, even a dishwasher. It has this funky blue kitchen counter and it’s tiled through and even has ceiling fans! Yay for nice and cool floor with air flow during what will probably be the hottest and most humid time of the year!

It should be really good fun, I’m looking forward to going there with the guys.

Can’t remember if I posted earlier or not, Lou missed out on the job at Coke. :( She’ll have to go work for Pepsi now just to get the ultimate revenge.

Spoke to FallenAngel/Brendan, a dude from WAY back on austnet IRC (circa 1997). He randomly messaged me on Trillian’s ICQ (as I wont use normal ICQ) tonight as I was writing up my report. It was good to catch up with Prong Brother 1. Mmm hmm.

Looks like I’m most likely moving out to Newtown in a month or so! Holy cow! Deny (pronounced Danny, but he’s stupid) reckons he’s moving up to Queensland somewhere and he wants to sell some of the furniture/appliances that are already in the flat for some extra cash. Mum said she would probably buy it or something (?? but that suits me) so I can use it. I’m probably getting a flatmate too but I don’t know if that’s meant to be a mystery yet or not and I can’t be stuffed checking.

As usual, I’ve stayed up later than I need to in order to write in this journal. I don’t think I’ve got it in me to a) regularly write; and b) write at a reasonable time. I’ve coped for this long though so it can’t be all bad.

I’ve been playing the World of Warcraft closed beta. It’s pretty fun, I think it’s actually fucking good for an MMORPG (even though I promised myself I’d never play one again). I’m still undecided as to whether I’ll be buying it when it goes retail or not. I’ll have to see what my situation is at the time.

I do have some hot photos from it, though:
Picture one.
Picture two.

Very, very hot.

Forgot.

My Troma movies came in the other day: Toxic Avenger 1-4, Terror Firmer, Tromeo & Juliet and an animated Toxic Avenger movie.

Not only that, but I’ve been making mini-movies from ivLAN. Yeah, it was cool. So was the circus that I had to leave early for. hehe

Here’s 3 of the movies:
Orchard getting steamy (1.91MB).
My free KB plug (4.26MB).
Virus’ long winded adventure (10.93MB).

Yay for running late and cleaning your teeth while you update your LiveJournal! Yay for caffeine headaches!

Great.

Well this weekend has been a cliche rollercoaster ride of emotions. Right now I’m experiencing a shitty one.

More on this later.

P.S. Saggy boobs in some 70s movie on VHS dad is converting to DVD.

Back again.

Got it finished. It’s a bit shoddy but I really couldn’t care less. I printed out our logo on the colour printer though in a desperate bid to scrape up a few more marks for “novelty”.

My download of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 just finished at the same time. How fortunate. What’s unfortunate, however, is that I have to get up in 6 hours so that I can make it to my tutorial tomorrow and get the rest of my group to sign the cover page of the assignment. That reminds me, I have to submit a .txt version of our plan. Just did it then. Wow.

Right, golf time.

Polls!

Does anyone else support my notion of making Howard and Latham have a SimCity 4 playoff to decide who becomes PM?

Gotta go to ivLAN tomorrow. Oh the drama.

Hey Eri, stop stalking me! ha!

Wah.

WineSoc dinner tonight, exec only freebie. \o/

Have to get a roll on with this fucked up report. I have a feeling it’ll be made due next week, but I have to do something anyway just for the sake of it (yeah right).

Also have to get my part done for my INFS3020 subject. Good old teamwork. Ho hum.

ivLAN this weekend! \o/ Shame I can only stay a night, but I’ll have to take Vic back on Saturday anyway, along with going to Cirque de Soleil (?sp) that night with Lou. She had a reasonable birthday celebration I suppose (although she seems to have complained a smidgeon ;o). Considering it was just “another birthday”… The next landmark one wont be until she’s 30. hehe

I watched all of MTV’s Spider-Man cartoon that I bought on DVD. The animation is sexy in it, and I really enjoyed the series. I hope they make a second one but I have a bad feeling they wont. :(

My Twin Peaks VHS set also arrived, and the bastard that I got them off didn’t give me any feedback even after I emailed him saying I would give him a positive score. What a fucking cunt. Yes.

Still waiting for my Troma movie order to arrive, all 6 movies. That’ll be some high class viewing, I’m sure. They should be dropped off in dad’s post office box soon, I ordered them from Amazon over a week ago.

The movie I got dad to deliver to to forward on to us still hasn’t turned up. She said she sent it via ship but it’s been ages. Hope nothing got stuffed up. :( I still have to get dad to pay her back for the shipping as well, maybe that’s what she’s holding out for. ;) hehe

Hmm. I have to be on a train in about 64 minutes. Can’t wait for that one. Hope the dinner is good.

I finished CoD:UO the other day and finished an easy campaign of Rome: Total War… I’m still mucking around with that when I can spare 5 hours minimum of addiction time. :s I haven’t played Morrowind for a while, which kind of frustrates me, but I’m like that with RPGs. :s

Also scored Evil Genius and Deer Hunter 2005. Man I’m such a game slut. Evil Genius is cool but a bit tedious imho. Deer Hunter will get boring real fast but I had to try it just for posterity. You can hunt in Australia now! hehe

Rightio, then.

Who?

Yes I’m here. Hi.

Scored The Sims 2 and CoD:UO on Monday. Picked up a copy of The Sims for Lou as well for her birthday. :) They’re both alright. That was my first purchase on my credit card, as well! Yay.

Also managed to get a copy of NHL2005 and finally got my hands on Max Payne 2. NHL2005 is crap as I expected, however I can’t help but give the NHL games a whack after I loved NHL97 and 98 so much. ^_^

There’s lots of little easter eggs and in-jokes in Max Payne 2; I started reading all the threads on the 3DRealms forums for it. Apparently there’s a few references and similarities in the game to what happens in Twin Peaks. I always meant to check out that show (somehow) and now I’ve had my interest rekindled. I was thinking of buying a whole set on video from eBay but I’m not sure. I could “Buy It Now!” for AU$65 or wait 8 days to bid on it. I’m tempted to go for it, but I mean… VHS. :( I suppose I could get dad to convert them from VHS to DVD for me. Actually that’d be pretty cool! Maybe I’ll do that.

I’m still sipping on white russians. Tasty.

My paternal grandmother’s sister died at approximately 8:30pm tonight. She was the last “close” grand-relative I had. :S She’d been on a downward spiral for a few years now. Hopefully she went peacefully. Grant, my cousin who boarded and I in the UAE in February is one of her sons. He was due to come back to Australia in a couple of weeks but changed his flight to try and get home before his mum died. He wont arrive til Monday though. Poor guy.

Hmm… I think I’m gonna go make someone convince me to buy that Twin Peaks VHS set.

*thwip*

Bought the most bonar Spidey t-shirt today. It’s white with red collars and lining on the sleeves. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Also negotiating with a dude for a mod-chipped X-Box with a 120 gig hard drive in it, amongst other shit. Yay for spending!

Lloyd is a noob btw.

So yeah, went in to town with Lou today and bought my shirt in Utopia. Saw The Girl Next Door. It was ok, for a dumb movie. I was somewhat surprised there weren’t any porn star cameos (that I noticed, at least)… But anyway.

Rounding off day 3 of my latest kick-start diet. Banana smoothies tomorrow! Wooooohoooo!

Played my first game of RtCW in about a year last night. Was mad fun, even though we lost 3-1. Damn skitzy and his bs haxing. :O! Ah well.

It’s cold. Brr.

*Update*
What an arsehole. The guy I was emailing about the X-Box decided (within an hour of me saying the price he wanted sounded fair) that he didn’t want to sell it any more and would keep it. Fucker.

Now I’ll have to win another auction and maybe score some mod chips as well. Not to mention buying a hard drive eventually. Oh well.
